Boreham Wood maintain unbeaten run but lose ground on rivals

Boreham Wood extended their unbeaten run to 10 games in the Vanarama National League but a 0-0 home draw against Barnet meant they lost more ground on their play-off rivals.
Neither goalkeeper was tested in the opening stages but midfielder Wesley Fonguck went close for the visitors on 31 minutes when he picked up a loose ball and curled a long range effort onto the crossbar.
Boreham keeper Nathan Ashmore saved well from Elliott Johnson before half-time and his counterpart Scott Loach was called upon in the second half to stop a screamer from Kane Smith as the game remained deadlocked.
Barnet almost stole the points in stoppage time when a cross from the left was met by Portuguese playmaker Mauro Vilhete, who headed narrowly wide.
