Mark Warburton will be without the services of Yoann Barbet and Charlie Owens when his QPR side host Cardiff on Wednesday.
Defender Barbet will not feature in the squad as he continues to recover from a hamstring issue.
Owens also remains sidelined after suffering a knee injury.
Goalkeeper Liam Kelly is available after damaging his quad in November but will need to oust first-choice Joe Lumley to make the starting XI.
Neil Harris’ Cardiff will be boosted by the availability of captain Sean Morrison, who returns from a three-match ban.
The centre-back was dismissed late on when the Bluebirds drew 3-3 at Leeds on December 14.
Lee Peltier is doubtful after suffering a foot injury during the Boxing Day draw with Millwall and consequently missing Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
Joe Ralls has been sidelined with a broken hand and looks unlikely to feature.
