Walsall will be without the suspended James Clarke for the visit of Leyton Orient on New Year’s Day.
The Saddlers captain was sent off in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Carlisle, and his absence is likely to open the door for Zak Jules to start.
Jules came on as a substitute after Clarke’s dismissal to make his first appearance since early November.
Boss Darrell Clark must check on the fitness of Elijah Adebayo, who came off the bench to score on Sunday only to pull up injured a few minutes later.
Leyton Orient boss Ross Embleton has a number of injury concerns going into the match.
Conor Wilkinson missed Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Newport with the knock that also ruled him out on Boxing Day.
Also missing were Joe Widdowson and Louis Dennis with knocks.
Sam Ling is sidelined until February, while Dean Brill, Jobi McAnuff and Brendon Shabani remain long-term absentees.
