Grimsby and Crawley ended the decade with a low-key 1-1 draw in their League Two clash at Blundell Park.
Jake Hessenthaler and Ashley Nadesan scored at each end as the sides were made to settle for a share of the spoils.
After breaking their six-match goal drought on Boxing Day, Grimsby needed just two minutes to opening the scoring.
Hessenthaler smashed home at the far post following some good work on the left-hand side from Charles Vernam.
Matt Green went close to making it two, but the next goal came at the other end as Nadesan poked the ball beneath goalkeeper James McKeown.
In the second half, defender Luke Waterfall headed one past the post from a set-piece but clear-cut chances were proving to be at a premium.
Ahkeem Rose was summoned from the Grimsby bench and twice set his sights from distance, while Vernam also stung the palms of Crawley goalkeeper Glenn Morris.
A late flurry saw Hessenthaler and substitute Jordan Cook go close, but neither side was able to find a winner.
