Yeovil suffer surprise defeat at Sutton

Yeovil missed the opportunity to move to the top of the Vanarama National League table as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat at Sutton.
A draw would have been enough for the Glovers to go ahead of Barrow – even if only temporarily – but David Ajiboye’s 62nd-minute strike secured victory for Sutton.
Ajiboye had earlier played a pivotal role in Harry Beautyman (24) putting the hosts in front, only for Darren Sarll’s Yeovil to respond immediately through Rhys Murphy.
Albi Skendi (38) deflected home a Courtney Duffus shot to put Yeovil ahead, with Ben Goodliffe’s first Sutton goal sending the teams in level at half-time before Ajiboye hit the winner.
