Sadlier haunts former club Peterborough to earn much-needed win for Doncaster

Doncaster ended a run of five matches without a win after a stunning 3-0 victory at high-flying Peterborough.
The visitors earned just their second away win from home all season after goals either side of half-time by Kieran Sadlier, who has now scored in his last three games against his former side. Captain Ben Whiteman curled in a late third goal.
Sadlier, who has scored eight league goals this season, struck with a superb 30-yard effort low into the bottom right corner after 18 minutes.
Posh, who started the day second and had not lost at home since the opening day of the season, nearly equalised in the second half when Ivan Toney’s looping header from a Marcus Maddison corner was headed off the line by Tom Anderson.
Peterborough goalkeeper Christy Pym made a good low save to deny Niall Ennis from 15 yards with low drive, but from the resulting corner in the 61st minute Jon Taylor’s cross was flicked in by Sadlier before Whiteman found the net from 20 yards on the break.
