Cowley confident over injured players returning against Forest

Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley is confident he will have some “much-needed” reinforcements to chose from for the visit of Nottingham Forest as players return from injury.
The Terriers have been hit with a host of absentees in recent weeks with Lewis O’Brien, Jaden Brown, Alex Pritchard and Fraizer Campbell among those sidelined.
Cowley is hoping at least a couple of those players will be available this weekend as Town return to home territory after picking up four points from their trips to Charlton and Wigan.
Benin striker Steve Mounie is pushing for a return to the starting line-up but Tommy Elphick and Collin Quaner are long-term injury victims.
Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is also hoping for some positive news on the injury front soon as the stuttering Reds look to bounce back from last weekend’s 4-0 home mauling by Sheffield Wednesday.
Yuri Ribeiro, Samba Sow, Carl Jenkinson, Yohan Benalouane, Tendayi Darikwa and Michael Hefele were all absent again as Forest’s winless run stretched to four games.
However, Lamouchi believes Ribeiro could be back soon and hopes some of the others will not be far off either.
It remains to be seen if any of them will be involved at Huddersfield but the likes of Joe Lolley, Rafa Mir and Albert Adomah could be options if Lamouchi looks to shake up last week’s starting XI.
