Serie A Unveil Tasteless New 'Say No To Racism' Campaign

Serie A have unveiled a controversial new anti-racism campaign that shows the problem Italian football has with racism.

The campaign has come in after a string of high-profile racism scandals in Italian football this season.

But images on Twitter have emerged to show Italian officials are completely out of touch with the problem as the campaign features monkeys.

Per Football Italia, the three pieces are by internationally renowned artist Simone Fugazzotto, who uses chimps and apes in motifs throughout all of his paintings.

"With this trio of paintings, I tried to show that we are all complex and fascinating creatures, who can be sad or happy, Catholic, Muslim or Buddhist, but at the end of the day, what decides who we are is not the colour of our skin."

Anyone can see the massive issue considering the use of monkey chants towards black players.

Twitter has reacted with disgust to the campaign.

It's another shocking scandal following the Corriere dello Sport 'Black Friday' front page saga.

The front page included Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku and Roma's Chris Smalling on either side with 'Black Friday' in the middle.

The duo took to social media to slam the publication who refused to accept any blame for the tasteless headline.

Roma and AC Milan responded by banning the publication from working with them until the new year.

What do you think of the new campaign?
