Yeovil moved up to second after extending their unbeaten run to five matches with a 2-1 National League victory over struggling Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium.
Myles Hippolyte opened the scoring early on for the visitors as he picked out the bottom corner with his fourth goal of the season after kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes following a pitch inspection.
Yeovil doubled their tally midway through the first half as top scorer Rhys Murphy – on his return to the side after the birth of his second child on Saturday – converted a penalty, awarded after he was brought down in the box to make it 15 for the season.
Curtis Weston pulled one back for Chesterfield with a long-range effort into the top corner just after the hour mark, while the Glovers held on for the narrow win after nine minutes of additional time.
