Chorley slipped to the foot of the Vanarama National League table as their four-match unbeaten run came to a halt with a 4-2 defeat at Stockport.
The visitors took an early lead as Alex Newby’s deflected effort after seven minutes found the back of the net.
Nyal Bell turned in Devante Rodney’s cross to equalise after 27 minutes.
Festus Arthur put Stockport ahead shortly before the break when he turned the ball home after Matt Urwin spilled Tom Walker’s free-kick.
Bell added his second of the game after 66 minutes with a fine solo effort and Walker arrowed in a fine 25-yarder as County dominated a one-sided second half, with Ntumba Massanka’s stoppage-time header providing a consolation for Chorley.
