New signings David Jones and Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro could make their first Oldham starts against Leyton Orient.
The veteran pair joined the Latics on short-term deals ahead of last week’s FA Cup defeat by Burton, with forward Akpa-Akpro making his debut as a second-half substitute.
Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jones was an unused substitute against the Brewers for a game which saw Christopher Missilou limp off with an ankle problem after 30 minutes, making him doubtful for Saturday.
Dino Maamria will be without injured pair Chris Eagles and Johan Branger.
Conor Wilkinson could feature for Leyton Orient after recovering from injury.
Forward Wilkinson was forced off during the league defeat at Morecambe and missed three games, but managed an hour in the Leasing.com Trophy against Bristol Rovers in midweek.
Midfielder James Dayton has been out since the FA Cup first-round defeat by Maldon & Tiptree but made an eight-minute cameo from the bench at the Memorial Stadium.
Captain Jobi McAnuff, who is sidelined by a knee problem, will continue to help lead the managerless O’s.
