Halifax held by Eastleigh despite making flying start
Posted Sunday, November 24, 2019 by PA
Halifax scored in the first minute but had to settle for a point from their Vanarama National League clash with 15th-placed Eastleigh.
Tobi Sho-Silva gave the fourth-spotted hosts the perfect start when he headed home a Josh MacDonald corner to put them one up within the opening 60 seconds.
But Reda Johnson got Eastleigh back on level terms 10 minutes after the break, meeting Jack Payne’s corner to nod in his second goal in as many games.
Neither team could find the winner despite an end-to-end contest thereafter, leaving Pete Wild’s promotion-chasers without a win in three games.
