Ipswich were held to a 2-2 draw by Blackpool on Saturday in an entertaining clash at Portman Road that featured two penalties in the space of five second-half minutes.
Gwion Edwards’ opener was cancelled out by Joe Nuttall early on, before Jay Spearing and Luke Garbutt exchanged spot-kicks after the interval.
The home side took the lead in the eighth minute, when Edwards swept home from close range.
However, the visitors equalised 14 minutes later, Nuttall stabbing home at the second attempt after his headed effort was blocked.
Referee Stephen Martin awarded a penalty to Blackpool in the 53rd minute when Sullay Kaikai was adjudged to have been fouled by Ipswich captain Luke Chambers, with Spearing converting from 12 yards.
Ipswich were given a penalty of their own for handball five minutes later, and Garbutt made no mistake.
Luke Woolfenden powered a header towards goal in the 69th minute following a corner by Garbutt. Substitute Anthony Georgiou got a touch on the ball but it was eventually scrambled away.
