Matty Willock could return when Gillingham host Sunderland in FA Cup replay

Steve Evans wants to field a fresh side when Gillingham host Sunderland in a replay of their FA Cup first-round encounter.
Evans is mindful that the Black Cats, who held them to a 1-1 draw on November 9, did not play over the weekend as their Bristol Rovers clash was postponed.
Midfielder Matty Willock was not quite ready to return from injury as the Gills beat Lincoln 1-0 on Saturday, but could feature at the Priestfield Stadium.
Southampton loanee Thomas O’Connor will miss the fixture as he is on international duty.
Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson has a depleted squad to choose from due to several injury woes.
Defenders Joel Lynch and Jordan Willis are both unavailable after suffering back and knee issues respectively.
George Dobson is being rested for the weekend’s game against Coventry.
Parkinson has indicated that he will provide opportunities for youngsters Brandon Taylor and Jack Bainbridge as he looks to bulk out the squad.
