Injured captain Jobi McAnuff will help lead managerless Leyton Orient against Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Orient ended Carl Fletcher’s reign after just 29 days on Thursday, leaving Ross Embleton, Danny Webb and McAnuff to take control of first-team affairs.
Defender Jamie Turley is available again after his recovery from a groin injury.
The 29-year-old made his first appearance of the season in Wednesday’s 1-1 Leasing.com Trophy draw with Brighton, but full-back Sam Ling continues to be sidelined.
Yann Songo’o is unavailable for Scunthorpe after dislocating his big toe.
The midfielder is set to be out for a month after sustaining the injury in last weekend’s 4-1 FA Cup defeat to Crawley.
Jamie Ward is expected to be out for another week with a hamstring injury and, while Jordan Hallam (hamstring) has returned to training, he is not available.
Kgosi Ntlhe is training again after a groin problem, while George Miller is also close to recovering from a quad strain and Harrison McGahey may return after illness.
