MOST people get tattoos of the things that are most important to them - family members, dates and religious symbols.

Nicolas Otamendi, though, clearly loves watching TV so much and has inked stars from hit shows Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders and Vikings on his back.

The main characters from Breaking Bad - Walter White - and Peaky Blinders - Thomas Shelby - feature on the Argentinian's back

At the top of his back, the Manchester City defender, 31, has Walter White, the main character in Breaking Bad, while lower down there is an image of Peaky Blinders hero Thomas Shelby.

To the left appears to be Ragnar Lothbrok from Vikings.

They make up what is an impressive collection including a pocket watch, a lion, a bear and the more regular tatts such as names of some of his family members.

And the phenomenal artwork was out for all to see following City's 1-1 draw with Atalanta in Italy last night.

Argentinian Otamendi played the full 90 minutes in the game, which will be remembered for Kyle Walker's cameo in goal following Claudio Bravo's red card.

Speaking to The Independent in 2016, he explained part of the reason behind the inking is to help create an "aggressive image".

And he revealed he got his first tattoo done when he was just 14 years old and each one has personal meaning.

Otamendi said: "I think it (the appearance) can be a factor with officials, depending on your personality and how you play.

"But yes, the beard and the tattoos help the aggressive image.

"I suppose it brings a bit more to it.

"I started to let the beard grow at Valencia and I just liked it, so since then, it has become a big part of my personality, just like those tattoos.

"People always ask me about them. I had my first done when I was 14 and each one has some significance to it.

"My brother and my children are on there, and the face of my grandfather too.

"Most are personal, but if I see a design which catches my eye, I will go for it."
