Mauro Vilhete’s late strike sealed Barnet a 2-1 home win against Chorley and ended his side’s five-game winless league run.
Portuguese midfielder Vilhete scored with 10 minutes left as Barnet came from behind to send rock-bottom Chorley spinning to a third straight defeat.
Callum Reynolds had an early effort ruled out for handball before Chorley took the lead through Marcus Carver, whose acrobatic finish gave home goalkeeper Scott Loach no chance.
Josh Walker’s second-half shot deflected narrowly wide for Barnet, who equalised just after the hour mark via Jack Taylor’s penalty after Chorley defender Matt Challoner’s challenge in the box.
Barnet sealed victory when Vilhete followed up to force the ball home after Chorley goalkeeper Matt Urwin had done well to keep out Walker’s effort.
