Ten-man Coventry held to goalless draw by Accrington

Ten-man Coventry played out a low-quality 0-0 draw against Accrington as both sides struggled to create chances at St Andrew’s.
Joe Pritchard nearly gave the visitors the lead when he dispossessed Michael Rose early on and found himself clear but his effort was tame and straight at Marko Marosi.
Amadou Bakayoko nearly broke the deadlock after 58 minutes when he latched onto a loose cross. He feinted past a defender, giving himself a clear opportunity, but his right-footed effort went high and wide.
Maxime Biamou was then shown a straight red card for what looked like an elbow on Stanley defender Mark Hughes after 68 minutes, leaving the home side’s chance of pinching a win looking slim.
Callum O’Hare had the ball in Stanley’s net after 74 minutes but the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
The Sky Blues had more possession but failed to make it tell and created little in a hard-fought game.
