Plymouth forward Dom Telford looks unlikely to make his return to action in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two home clash against Grimsby.
Boss Ryan Lowe has said Telford, who has not played for the Pilgrims since September 21 due to a hamstring issue, is not far off a comeback but that “we have got to manage it”, and suggested it may be another week away.
It appears the game will also come too soon for Jose Baxter and Conor Grant as they near their returns from injury.
Joe Edwards missed Tuesday’s 1-0 Leasing.com Trophy loss to Chelsea Under-21s after his partner gave birth to twin boys.
Grimsby full-back Luke Hendrie remains sidelined by his hamstring strain.
Midfielder Max Wright, missing for the last five games in all competitions after sustaining a thigh problem, was expected to be back in training this week.
Fit-again Ethan Robson returned to the team for the 2-1 loss to Leicester Under-21s in the Leasing.com Trophy on Tuesday.
Michael Jolley’s Mariners, who are 18th in the table, head into the contest against 10th-placed Plymouth winless in their last four league games.
