Mitch Megginson bags brace as League Two leaders Cove Rangers beat Albion

Cove Rangers bounced back from their first defeat of the season to maintain their three-point lead in Ladbrokes League Two after beating Albion 3-0.
Mitch Megginson tapped home from close range after 25 minutes when Fraser Aird’s shot was parried and Scott Ross headed in the second with 15 minutes left.
Megginson then completed his brace to wrap up victory after latching onto a throughball from Conor Scully.
Edinburgh climbed above Cowdenbeath into second on goal difference after cruising to a 4-0 win over 10-man Stenhousemuir.
Scott Shepherd and Conrad Balatoni had them 2-0 up inside 11 minutes before the visitors’ task became tougher when Alan Cook was dismissed after 23 minutes.
Edinburgh then went on to wrap up victory after the break with further goals from Aidan Wilson and Daniel Handling.
Cowdenbeath missed the opportunity to keep the pressure on Cove after being held to a 0-0 draw by Stirling Albion, who moved off the bottom as a result.
