Leaders Bromley fail to beat Stockport

National League leaders Bromley were held to a 2-2 draw at home by lowly Stockport.

Bromley took the lead in the 18th minute when Reeco Hackett-Fairchild pounced on the rebound but Elliot Osborne levelled six minutes later, firing past Ryan Huddart from a tight angle.

The visitors then went ahead in the 34th minute as Tom Walker, on loan from Salford, converted a cross at the back post.

However, their lead was shortlived as Bromley made it 2-2 within three minutes, Michael Cheek’s cross across goal being turned in by County defender Sam Minihan.

Cheek had a goal ruled out for offside and also struck a post early in the second half before Hackett-Fairchild smashed a free-kick against the bar.

Adam Thomas then hit the crossbar from close range for Stockport as the spoils were shared.
