Harrogate extend unbeaten streak with win over Barnet

Ten-man Harrogate extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions with a 2-1 home win over Barnet.

Fourth-placed Town went ahead in the 15th minute when Jack Diamond’s shot was deflected over and Jack Muldoon struck from the resulting corner.

Simon Weaver’s side made it 2-0 four minutes later courtesy of George Smith’s cool finish.

Barnet were back in it nine minutes before half-time as David Tutonda fired in after the ball fell kindly for him in the area.

Harrogate were forced to play the final 13 minutes with 10 men following Jon Stead’s red card for a late challenge.

And James Belshaw produced a stunning double save from Mauro Vilhete and Josh Walker to deny Barnet an equaliser at the death.
