Oldham boss Dino Maamria could again call upon Chris McCann and Lewis McKinney as he looks to end Latics’ four-game winless run.
New signing McCann made his first start for the club as they lost 1-0 to Macclesfield on Saturday, with second-year scholar McKinney coming on for his professional debut.
Maamria praised the performances of both and could include them again as his side host Walsall.
Filipe Morais will be available having served a suspension, whereas Tomas Egert remains suspended and will not partake.
Darrell Clarke’s Walsall are enduring a three-match losing streak after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Cheltenham on Saturday.
Cameron Pring returned to action after an ankle injury and is likely to feature again.
Dan Scarr will be available as his suspension for accumulating five yellow cards has elapsed.
Liam Kinsella serves a one-match ban, however, and will not be available.
