George Maris faces late test for Cambridge

Cambridge midfielder George Maris faces a late fitness test before the home game with Grimsby.
Maris was replaced at half-time during the 4-0 weekend win against Exeter with what appeared to be an ankle injury, but U’s head coach Colin Calderwood believes the damage is not as bad as first feared.
Defender Greg Taylor and striker Marc Richards have recovered from illness and are available for selection.
Samir Carruthers remains out with the hamstring injury that has sidelined him since September, but the midfielder has stepped up his rehab after receiving positive scan results last week.
Grimsby will once again be without Max Wright for the long trip south.
The midfielder has missed the last two games with a thigh injury.
Sunderland loanee Ethan Robson will be assessed after missing Saturday’s 4-0 loss to Leyton Orient.
Manager Michael Jolley could recall Matt Green, Moses Ogbu and Elliot Whitehouse after that heavy home defeat dropped the Mariners into the bottom half of Sky Bet League Two.
