Bristol Rovers could be without Liam Sercombe for game against Bolton

Bristol Rovers could be without Liam Sercombe for their Sky Bet League One clash with Bolton on Tuesday due to injury.

Assistant manager Joe Dunne said Sercombe was making good progress, but declined to say whether he would be fit for Tuesday’s game.

Jonson Clarke-Harris continues his rehab after he sustained a calf strain two weeks ago, and is expected to remain absent for a further couple of weeks.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis has returned to training following surgery this summer and has yet to play this season, with Sam Matthews and Josh Hare also currently sidelined.

Bolton could be without three first-team players for their trip to Bristol.

Jack Hobbs was pulled out of his side’s 3-1 defeat to Rochdale on Saturday after requiring an injection in his back and remains a doubt for Tuesday.

Teenage midfielder Sonny Graham was forced off the pitch in the 69th minute on Saturday with an ankle problem and is a doubt.

Thibaud Verlinden could also miss out after he picked up a groin problem late in the game against Rochdale.
