James Dayton could make his first league appearance of the season for Leyton Orient against Walsall.
The influential winger has recovered from the ankle injury he suffered in April and played for an hour in the EFL Trophy against AFC Wimbledon in midweek.
Jobi McAnuff is also edging towards a return following surgery on a groin injury.
Sam Ling’s groin issue will be assessed while Lee Angol and Jamie Turley are out with hamstring injuries.
Rory Gaffney returns to the Walsall squad having been ineligible to face parent club Salford last weekend.
Danny Guthrie was also missing for the 3-0 home defeat but boss Darrell Clarke hopes the midfielder will not be out for long.
Striker Caolan Lavery is recovering from a hamstring injury, Cameron Pring is still injured but fellow defender Kory Roberts is fit.
The Saddlers had won three matches on the spin before running into Salford.
