Southend will be without suspended forward Emile Acauah for their home game against AFC Wimbledon.
Teenager Acauah was shown two yellow cards in the space of two minutes after stepping off the bench in last week’s defeat at Gillingham.
Defender Nathan Ralph is available after serving his one-game ban and striker Brandon Goodship could be back in contention after returning to training this week.
Forward Charlie Kelman (ankle) and midfielder Sam Manton (hamstring) are still out, while defender John White (broken arm) and winger Sam Barratt (knee) remain long-term absentees.
AFC Wimbledon striker Marcus Forss is available after opting not to join up with Finland’s under-21 squad.
Assistant boss Glyn Hodges has reported no new injury or suspension worries following the midweek EFL Trophy win against Leyton Orient.
Defender Luke O’Neill is still out and will have a scan to determine the full extent of his calf injury.
Centre-half Rod McDonald (knee) and striker Adam Roscrow (thigh) both remain unavailable.
