Dean Keates denied victory on Wrexham return

Ryan Fallowfield denied Dean Keates a dream homecoming as Wrexham drew 1-1 with Harrogate to stay hovering above the National League relegation zone.
Keates, who left the Red Dragons to take over at Walsall in March 2018, was announced as Bryan Hughes’ successor at the Racecourse Ground on Sunday.
The first goal of his second spell in charge arrived after just six minutes as Bobby Grant turned in Jason Oswell’s cross from close range.
Grant had a volley saved by James Belshaw before missing a penalty in the 59th minute, firing over after he was bundled over by George Smith.
And Wrexham were punished by the visitors 10 minutes from time when Fallowfield drilled in a loose ball to claim a point and extend Gate’s unbeaten run to six matches.
