Dagenham’s 11-match unbeaten run in the National League came to an end following a 2-0 defeat at Notts County.
Regan Booty’s first strike at Meadow Lane and Kristian Dennis’ late effort ensured County moved up to eighth in the table, only outside the play-offs on goal difference.
The midfielder struck after 25 minutes, firing an 18-yard free-kick into the bottom corner.
After Enzio Boldewijn fired over for County, home goalkeeper Sam Slocombe denied Reece Grant one-on-one and then parried James Dobson’s shot.
And County made sure of the win three minutes from time through Dennis, who curled an effort into the top corner.
