Barrow up to fourth after beating Boreham Wood

Barrow moved up to fourth in the National League table with a 3-1 win at home to Boreham Wood – their seventh victory in a row.
The Bluebirds began on the front foot and were rewarded with the opener after 13 minutes when a low cross from Dior Angus was turned in at the back post by Scott Quigley.
The home side doubled their advantage shortly afterwards as a fierce drive from outside the area from Angus beat goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.
John Rooney hit the side-netting with a 20-yard attempt as Barrow threatened a third, but it was the visitors who pulled a goal back through Tyrone Marsh’s header from Adam McDonnell’s corner – his eighth of the season.
Ashmore tipped a Josh Kay effort onto the crossbar before half-time, while Quigley was denied by the keeper as Barrow looked the side more likely after the break.
They wrapped up the points in the 81st minute as Quigley fired in his second of the night.
