Liam Boyce bags brace as Burton beat MK Dons

Liam Boyce scored twice as Burton secured all three points in an impressive 3-0 Sky Bet League One win away to MK Dons.
Boyce’s brace came either side of an Oliver Sarkic strike as Nigel Clough’s side moved to within four points of the top six, while MK Dons sit just six points above the relegation zone.
Burton took a deserved lead after 32 minutes when Nathan Broadhead’s long ball from inside his own half found Sarkic inside the MK box.
Sarkic’s first-time pass across goal to Boyce left the 28-year-old with a routine header past MK goalkeeper Lee Nicholls for his fifth goal of the season.
Sarkic double Burton’s lead inside 54 minutes with a fine left-footed finish from the edge of MK Dons box for his first league goal of the season.
Boyce completed his double late on to round off a comfortable victory for Clough’s side, who recorded their first league win for four games.
