Sutton and Stockport play out goalless draw

Sutton and Stockport both continued to struggle in front of goal as they played out a dour goalless draw in the National League.
The hosts’ scoreless streak extended to three games and they have won just one of their last 10 fixtures while Stockport ended a run of five straight defeats but remain without a goal since September 14 – over four games ago.
Sutton went close when Rob Milsom fired wide from the edge of the area while at the other end Adam Hammill headed wide and Adam Thomas was denied by goalkeeper Jamie Butler.
County pushed for a rare goal in the second period but Sam Minihan could not find the target with a dipping drive while Sutton’s Tommy Wright wasted a couple of good chances as the deadlock remained unbroken.
