Wrexham’s away-day blues continue

Managerless Wrexham were denied a first National League away win of the season after drawing 1-1 at fourth-placed Woking.
The Red Dragons almost took the lead in the 23rd minute but home goalkeeper Craig Ross produced a stunning save to keep out Luke Young’s 20-yard volley.
Ross could do nothing to prevent Wrexham from scoring in the 48th minute, though, with James Jennings side-footing home.
Ross then denied Jason Oswell and Jennings before Woking levelled after 76 minutes when Shaun Donnellan’s cross was deflected in, with Kane Ferdinand appearing to get the final touch.
Wrexham, with Brian Flynn in caretaker charge for what is expected to be the final game, almost won it late on as substitute Mark Harris hit the post.
