Griffiths still sidelined as Celtic face Partick Thistle

Leigh Griffiths is still missing with a thigh knock as Celtic host Partick Thistle in the Betfred Cup.

Moritz Bauer (ankle) is touch and go but Christopher Jullien has brushed off the issue that forced him off against Kilmarnock.

Mikey Johnston (groin), Jozo Simunovic (knee) and Nir Bitton (hamstring), Daniel Arzani (knee) and Scott Bain (thumb) are still missing while Marian Shved (ankle) and Luca Connell (thigh) are also struggling.

New Partick Thistle manager Ian McCall has only had one day with the players to prepare.

He is considering whether to start with Stuart Bannigan and Kenny Miller or keep them fresh for Sarturday’s league trip to Inverness.
