And after Maddison had capped a brilliant display by scoring the winner in the 2-1 victory over Spurs, Chilwell was quick to pick up on SunSport's coverage.
The England full-back saw the story on Twitter and retweeted it, revealing 22-year-old Maddison had managed to squeeze his award inside.
His comment was picked up by former Foxes team-mate Harry Maguire, who tweeted laughing emojis in response.
Maddison's arrival didn't get past BBC presenter Dan Walker who uploaded a snap of Maddison on Twitter, along with the same item on the Louis Vuitton website.
He tweeted: "Fancy that Maddison rucksack? £6500."
Commenting on his post, former Spurs star Ryan Mason simply put five emojis of a monkey covering its eyes.
While broadcaster Kelly Cates quipped: "Or Smiggle has a sale on."
One fan joked: "£6500?!?!?! Real talk you can get an 8 year old in arts and crafts after school club to make this for a tenner."
Another added: "Looks like something my girls would carry around with their dolls in. More money than sense."
A fifth simply stated: "That os (sic) a horrific looking thing!"
One wisecrack fan said: "If I’d seen this yesterday I wouldn’t have put him in my Fantasy team this week."

Maddison has started every game for the Foxes this season under Brendan Rodgers, with his form earning him a call-up to the England senior side.
However to the disappointment of most, the former Norwich star failed to make his debut in either of the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.
It has been claimed that the Red Devils are ready to bid £60million for his services next summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a huge fan of the player.
