Lincoln hit for six by Oxford as new manager Appleton looks on

Lincoln produced a woeful display in front of new manager Michael Appleton as they went down 6-0 to Oxford.
Appleton, who was appointed on Friday, was watching from the stands before formally taking charge on Monday and he could only watch on helplessly as the Imps turned in arguably their poorest performance since returning to the Football League in 2017.
The visitors were rewarded for a positive start on five minutes when Tariqe Fosu fired home from outside the box.
The second goal arrived five minutes before the break when Fosu coolly rounded Josh Vickers and slotted home.
Any hopes the Imps had of a positive result were snuffed out by two more goals early in the second half.
First, Jamie Mackie cut inside Cian Bolger before stabbing the ball beyond Vickers in the 48th minute.
Six minutes later, James Henry crashed the ball home at the second attempt after his initial shot had been blocked.
The carnage continued when Fosu completed his hat-trick with a long-range strike with 20 minutes left and substitute Matt Taylor headed home after 79 minutes.
