Northampton striker Harry Smith is suspended for their Sky Bet League Two clash with Crawley.
Smith scored his first goal for the Cobblers since his summer arrival from Macclesfield in the 1-0 win over Stevenage in midweek but was sent off 12 minutes later.
Defender Reece Hall-Johnson is in contention to return to the side after being sidelined since August 10.
Town midfielder Alan McCormack is close to a first-team comeback having been out since the opening weekend of the season, but he will not feature this weekend.
Crawley could have defender Joe McNerney available to make his first appearance of the campaign.
The 29-year-old has been struggling with a back injury but returned to training ahead of the 2-2 draw against Plymouth on Tuesday.
Striker Denzeil Boadu and winger Gyliano Van Velzen are both waiting for their Crawley debuts after arriving at the club in early September.
Ollie Palmer was dropped to the bench against Plymouth but came on to score his side’s late equaliser from the penalty spot and will hope to start at Northampton.
