Ohman ruled out as Grimsby host Macclesfield

Grimsby’s Ludvig Ohman is out of Saturday’s League Two clash with Macclesfield with a hamstring injury.
Ohman limped out of Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat at Salford shortly after half-time and is set for a spell on the sidelines, where he joins fellow defender Harry Davis (shoulder).
Striker Ahkeem Rose has not played since the Leasing.com Trophy defeat by Scunthorpe earlier this month because of a hamstring problem and remains a doubt.
However, midfielder Jordan Cook and frontman Matt Green both returned in midweek and that will come as a boost to manager Michael Jolley with next Wednesday evening’s mouth-watering Carabao Cup clash with Premier League Chelsea looming.
Macclesfield pair Arthur Gnahoua and Virgil Gomis could get another chance after impressing on their full league debuts in Tuesday night’s 1-1 home draw with Newport.
Gnahoua played the full 90 minutes, while fellow frontman Gomis was replaced four minutes from time by Ben Stephens.
Manager Daryl McMahon was delighted with both, as he was with midfielder Paddy Osadebe, and he has challenged the trio to find a level of consistency to establish themselves in his team.
Defender Fraser Horsfall and striker Joe Ironside were the men to make way after last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Swindon and they will hope for a chance to redeem themselves.
