Michael Rose back in contention for Coventry

Defender Michael Rose is “pain free so available again” for table-topping Coventry’s home clash with AFC Wimbledon.

Dominic Hyam replaced Rose in the centre of defence at Burton but faces a fight for his place after boss Mark Robins confirmed Rose’s fitness.

Brandon Mason is also back in contention after a hamstring strain, but Robins has been impressed by youngster Sam McCallum, who has filled in at left-back.

Midfielder Jamie Allen is set for an extended spell on the sidelines due to the recurrence of a hip problem.

AFC Wimbledon boss Wally Downes has no fresh injury concerns for the trip.

Defender Rod McDonald and midfielder Anthony Wordsworth remain the only absentees for the Dons, who have yet to claim a league win so far this season.

Downes revealed Callum Reilly was struggling with a strain in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury but confirmed he should be okay to start.

Recent loan signings Marcus Forss and Ryan Delaney made their home debuts at the weekend and are expected to keep their places.
