Tottenham fans believe Eric Dier was reduced to tears as his FIFA 20 rating was revealed.

The Spurs star is yet to make an appearance for the north London side this season.

Dier, who is into his fifth campaign with Spurs, has been a regular starter.

But the Englishman was replaced by the club’s record signing Tanguy Ndombele before injury struck.

The midfielder also failed to make Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers after his own injury.

And footage has emerged of the 25-year-old’s week getting worse.

In the clip, the Spurs man is finding out his FIFA 20 ranking with Davinson Sanchez.

In last year’s football video game, Dier had a rating of 80.

But his face drops as it is revealed the midfielder has lost one point.

“Ok,” the 25-year-old says, with his voice tinged with disappointment.

“Thank you FIFA.”

When the pair are asked to review each other’s scores, Dier lays into the sports game.

“I think they can do a lot better with Davinson’s score,” he adds.

“This [pace] is not real – I think they can do better.”

As Sanchez reviews his team-mate, Dier holds up the card while appearing to wipe his eyes and sweat from his forehead with his arms.

This footage was published on the club’s official YouTube channel yesterday, where it has been viewed nearly 200,000 times.

And the Spurs faithful were left feeling sorry for their midfielder.

“FIFA made Eric cry,” one supporter suggested.

“Damn.”

Another claimed: “Dier went home crying.”

While a third added: “Dier is completely done with EA [FIFA producers].”

It comes as team-mate Danny Rose has hinted the truth about a failed transfer this summer “will come out” .
