Fylde left to face Fax after defeat at the Shay

Halifax returned to winning ways in style with a 4-1 home victory over AFC Fylde that leaves them two points off top spot in the Vanarama National League.
The Shaymen have had to settle for just one point from a possible six since starting the season with three successive wins but they got back on track against mid-table Fylde.
The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when former Wolves forward Liam McAlinden fired in from the edge of the box and Tobi Sho-Silva doubled their advantage in the 35th minute.
A home victory looked the most likely outcome at that point but Fylde – who were beaten 4-1 by Woking last time out – finished the half strongly and were rewarded when Danny Rowe reduced the deficit in stoppage time.
Halifax were not to be denied, however, and Cameron King made the most of a fine pass from Michael Duckworth to make it 3-1 at the start of the second half.
The home side then wrapped up a convincing win with 14 minutes left when Jerome Binnom-Williams added a superb fourth.
