Dover inflict first defeat of season on Sutton

Sutton suffered their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Dover.
Goals from Ricky Modeste and Inih Effiong, either side of Jamie Collins’ equaliser, secured victory for the visitors.
Dover took the lead after 10 minutes as winger Modeste fired the visitors in front.
Sutton threatened to level the scores after 21 minutes but Harry Beautyman’s shot was well kept out by Dover keeper Lee Worgan, who also denied Omar Bugiel four minutes later.
But the hosts were level on the stroke of half-time as captain Collins notched from a free-kick.
A breakaway goal after 50 minutes restored Dover’s lead as Effiong rounded off a counter-attack.
And the visitors held on to move above their opponents in the table.
