Bristol Rovers wait on fitness of Liam Sercombe and Alex Rodman

Bristol Rovers boss Graham Coughlan is waiting on the fitness of midfield duo Liam Sercombe and Alex Rodman ahead of Tuesday’s visit of Tranmere.
Sercombe was replaced during the second half of Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Coventry due to a “bit of tightness” while Rodman missed the defeat with a knock.
Coughlan, who has said he could make changes against Tranmere, hopes to have both available again soon as the Pirates go in search of their first league win of the campaign.
Tareiq Holmes-Dennis and Sam Matthews are still sidelined by injury and it remains to be seen when Mark Little will be fit to return.
Tranmere have on-loan Aston Villa striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy available again as they look to build on Saturday’s 5-0 mauling of Bolton.
Hepburn-Murphy has sat out the last three games through suspension but could come back into the reckoning for the League One newcomers.
Midfielder Jacob Maddox, who was on Bristol City’s books as a youngster, could make his Tranmere debut in his home city after joining on loan from Chelsea earlier this month.
However, manager Micky Mellon must do without the injured Jake Caprice, (ankle) Mark Ellis, (knee) Evan Gumbs (knee) and Ishmael Miller (hamstring).
