FC Halifax lost their 100 per cent record as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at 10-man Wrexham.
Visiting defender Nathan Clarke came close to gifting Wrexham an early lead when his header under pressure from JJ Hooper almost ended up in his own net.
Dragons striker Mark Harris saw a low shot saved by Sam Johnson, while at the other end Christian Dibble did well to keep out a deflected drive from Jamie Allen after 26 minutes.
Wrexham were on the front foot at the start of the second half as Devonte Redmond brought a fine save from Johnson, but they were reduced to 10 men after 68 minutes when Jake Lawlor brought down Tobi Sho-Silva as he broke clear.
However, it was the home side who snatched a winner in the 78th minute as Harris tucked home a through ball from Paul Rutherford.
