Lincoln made it two wins from two after promotion to League One as they saw off Rotherham 2-0 at the New York Stadium.
The Imps’ strong start to the season continued with goals either side of half-time securing victory.
Rotherham’s Freddie Ladapo came closest to getting the opener after he showed skill on the edge of the box before firing just wide.
The Millers had enjoyed the better of the play throughout the first half but were caught out on 42 minutes as Tyler Walker’s cross was turned into his own net by Shaun MacDonald.
Lincoln could have had a second before the break but Jorge Grant’s header was held by Daniel Iversen.
MacDonald almost made amends early in the second half but his header was clawed away by Josh Vickers.
Lincoln doubled their advantage on 48 minutes with Harry Anderson ghosting into the box to head in Grant’s corner.
Rotherham endeavoured to get back into the game but a stunning stop from Vickers kept out Jamie Proctor’s header.
