Liam McAlinden nets the winner for impressive Halifax

Halifax maintained the Vanarama National League’s only 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over Dagenham and Redbridge.
Liam McAlinden hit his first goal for Halifax in the 15th minute when Elliot Justham could only parry away a shot from Cameron King and the forward was on hand to turn the rebound into the net.
Justham then denied King with his legs four minutes before the break as a poor back pass by Bagasan Graham was cut out by Tobi Sho-Silva, who played in King.
Sam Johnson was called into action after 64 minutes to preserve his clean sheet when he got down low from James Dobson’s effort to turn the ball around the post for a corner.
And at the other end Justham got down low himself to deny Niall Maher before Sho-Silva was inches away from getting on the end of Jamie Allen’s cross.
