Peter Pawlett came off the bench to maintain Dundee United’s 100 per cent start to the Ladbrokes Championship season with a 2-1 win at Partick.
Steven Saunders put the home side in front when he headed home from a Cammy Parker cross after 23 minutes.
Partick had chances to extend their lead with visiting keeper Benjamin Siegrist responsible for a series of fine saves.
But United levelled through Lawrence Shankland after 56 minutes before Pawlett scored the winner from close range 16 minutes later.
