Xavi Hernandez was furious when the referee refused to award Al Sadd a penalty for a clear handball in stoppage time of their AFC Champions League match away to Al-Duhail on Tuesday.
That game was Xavi's first AFC Champions League game in charge of Al Sadd, and he responded to the referee's decision by kicking a bottle which saw his shoe fly into the air.
The Al Sadd players, including captain Gabi, also believed that it should have been a handball and surrounded the referee, yet he stood by his decision and the game finished 1-1.
Akram Afif gave Xavi's side the lead after half an hour, but Youssef Msakni levelled the scores just before the half-time interval.
