Coutinho's Premier League return unlikely
Far from reaching a deal with English clubs

Philippe Coutinho's return to the Premier League appears ever less likely with no club able to meet the demands of Barcelona, neither in a loan capacity nor a permanent deal.
Despite a host of top English sides being keen on the Brazilian, Tottenham appeared to be the last realistic hope for the Catalans to part ways with their record signing, though those negotiations proved unsuccessful.
Spurs were interested in landing Coutinho but, with other candidates on their agenda such as Giovani Lo Celso and Paulo Dybala, the club were not desperate to meet Barcelona's high demands.
As a result, Barcelona appear to have conceded that there is little chance of offloading Coutinho this window, at least to an English club which would have been the most likely chance of a summer sale.
Nevertheless, a last-minute offer from any of England's top five clubs cannot be ruled out with transfer activity set to intensify as the Thursday deadline approaches.
