Sir Alex Ferguson is a big fan of Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
The Sun says Fergie still has a say at Manchester United and is lobbying hard for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to land the fiery midfielder, 24.
Fergie, 77, is close friends with McGinn's grandad Jack.
And the former Old Trafford manager is pushing for United to pick McGinn for the midfield, where they lack his kind of energy and goal threat.
